74th Sitting of the European Integration Committee

At the sitting held on 19 February, the members of the European Integration Committee considered the Report on the National programme for adoption of the EU acquis (NPAA), for the third quarter of 2019.

The Report was presented by counsellor to the Minister of European Integration Jugoslav Milacic who said that the Government’s success rate in said period was 16%, having adopted 5 of planned 31 regulations, in terms of ascertaining bills and adopting by-laws. Overall, 49% of the NPAA has been fulfilled since the beginning of the implementation of the third revised version to the end of third quarter of 2019. In terms of bills, one of them planned by the NPAA, the Bill on the 2021 Census of Population, Households and Dwellings, the Government did not prepare in the foreseen period, but did ascertain seven bills that were planned for the previous period. In terms of meeting obligations from the previous reporting periods, 13 regulations were adopted, including one planned for a subsequent period.

Following a discussion with the representatives of the Ministry of European Integration, the Committee members adopted the Report on the National programme for adoption of the EU acquis (NPAA), for the third quarter of 2019.

The Committee members went on to adopt the Initiative of the European Integration and Regional Cooperation Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska extended to the European Integration Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia for a visit in the period 3 – 6 March 2020.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Deputy Chairperson Elvira Kovacs, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Vladimir Djuric, Dragan Sormaz, Olivera Pesic, MA Dejan Radenkovic, Nada Lazic, Momo Colakovic, Bojan Torbica, Tanja Tomasevic Damnjanovic and Vera Jovanovic.
