51st Sitting of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee

At the sitting held on 7 November, the members of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee reviewed the Republic of Serbia 2020 Budget Bill, Section 24 - Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, submitted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia.

The Bill was presented by Zoran Radosevic, State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, who said that the 51,993,012.00 RSD allocated for Section 24 in the 2020 Budget make up about 4.6% of the overall tax revenue of the Republic of Serbia. He added that the Ministry of Finance had allocated 37.1 billion RSD in subsidies, which is 900 million more than last year.

Radosevic then presented the allocations for the programme activities of the Fund for the stimulation of the development of agricultural production, Veterinary Directorate, Plant Protection Directorate, Republic Water Directorate, Republic of Serbia Waters Budget Fund, Forest Directorate, Budget Fund for Forests, Budget Fund for the development of hunting in Serbia, Directorate for National Reference Laboratories, Administration for Agrarian Payments and Administration for Agricultural Land.

The State Secretary presented the projects in the purview of the Republic Water Directorate to be realized in 2020, like the irrigation system projects financed from the Abu Dhabi fund, and the many projects of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management HQ.

Following a debate, the Committee members proposed, by majority vote, that the National Assembly accept the Republic of Serbia 2020 Budget Bill, Section 24 - Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.

The sitting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Marijan Risticevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Prof. Dr Miladin Sevarlic, Milija Miletic, Marjana Maras, Mladen Lukic, Aleksandra Jevtic, Zarko Bogatinovic, Arpad Fremond, Veroljub Matic, Radovan Jancic and Milorad Mircic.
