42nd Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 6 November, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered the Bill amending the Law on Organization of Courts, Bill amending the Civil Procedure Law, Bill on Personal Data Protection, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Execution of Non-Custodial Sanctions and Measures, Bill on Free Legal Aid, Bill on Lobbying and the Bill amending the Law Verification of Signatures, Manuscripts and Transcripts, in detail.


The Government and the Committee proposed that the National Assembly reject all four of the amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Law on Organization of Courts.

The Government and the Committee proposed that the National Assembly also reject the three amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Civil Procedure Law.

The MPs had submitted 124 amendments to the Bill on Personal Data Protection, which the Government and the Committee proposed to the National Assembly to reject.

The MPs had submitted 88 amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Execution of Non-Custodial Sanctions and Measures, which the Government and the Committee also proposed that the National Assembly reject.

Of the 63 amendments submitted to the Bill on Free Legal Aid, the Government and the Committee proposed that the National Assembly accept the amendment to Article 28 and reject the rest.

The Government and the Committee proposed that the National Assembly reject all of the 100 amendments submitted to the Bill on Lobbying.

The Government and the Committee also proposed that the National Assembly reject the two amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Law Verification of Signatures, Manuscripts and Transcripts.

The sitting was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Justice - acting minister Jovan Cosic and senior officer Zlatko Petrovic.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Petar Petrovic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Aleksandra Majkic, Slavisa Bulatovic, Marijan Risticevic, Nedjo Jovanovic, Miletic Mihajlovic, Jovan Palalic, Zarko Micin, Tanja Tomasevic Damnjanovic and Marko Parezanovic.
