At the sitting held on 5 July 2026, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues considered the bills proposed for the agenda of the the Eighth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, 14th Legislature.
By majority vote, the Committee members ruled to complete a joint debate in principle and single debate on all the items on the agenda, pursuant to Article 76 and in line with Article 57, paragraph 2 on the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.
The Committee considered the following:
1.Bill on Weapons and Ammunition, submitted by the Government, in principle;
2.Bill amending and modifying the Criminal Code, submitted by the Government, in principle;
3.Bill on the Legal Status of International Sports Federations Based in the Republic of Serbia, submitted by the Government, in principle;
4.Bill amending the Law on Prevention of Doping in Sports, submitted by the Government, in principle;
5.Bill on Parents-Caregivers and Caregivers, submitted by the Government, in principle;
6.Bill on Integrated Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution, submitted by the Government;
7.Bill amending the Law on the Constitutional Court, submitted by MP Milenko Jovanov, in principle;
8.Bill amending and modifying the Law on Financing Political Activities, submitted by MP Miroslav Petrasinovic, in principle;
9.Bill on the Confirmation of the Additional Protocol to the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) concerning the Electronic Consignment Note, submitted by the Government, and
10.Bill on the Confirmation of the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on a Communications Procedure, submitted by the Government.
Following a debate, the Committee found all the bills to be compliant with the Constitution and legal system of the Republic of Serbia.
The sitting was attended by representatives of the relevant ministries: Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Sport.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Milica Nikolic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Snezana Jovanovic, Jasmina Palurovic, Milos Gnjidic, Sanja Jefic Brankovic, Slobodan Petrovic, Risto Kostov, Dragan Nikolic, Olja Petrovic, Nikola Bokan and Vesna Nedovic.
