39th Sitting of the European Integration Committee

At the sitting held on 1 June, the members of the European Integration Committee reviewed a number of bills submitted by the National Bank of Serbia and a bill submitted by the Government.

The Bill on Protection of Financial Services Consumers in Distance Contracts, Bill on Financial Collateral, Bill on Interchange Fees and Special Operating Rules for Card-Based Payment Transactions, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Payment Services, and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the National Bank of Serbia were presented by representatives of the National Bank of Serbia who said that the abovementioned bills had been harmonized with EU regulations.

The representatives of the Ministry of Economy then presented the Bill amending and modifying the Company Law, which they said was harmonized with EU directives.

Following the presentations, the Committee members accepted the bills in principle.

The Committee then proceeded to appoint Elvira Kovacs and Vera Jovanovic its representatives at the Conference Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC) in Vienna, 8-9 July 2018.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Nenad Canak, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dragan Sormaz, Dusica Stojkovic, Aleksandar Stevanovic, Zarko Micin, Tanja Tomasevic Damnjanovic, Vera Jovanovic, Elvira Kovacs and Gordana Comic.
