33rd Sitting of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee

At the sitting held on 24 August 2026, before beginning work according to the set agenda, at the proposal of the Committee Chairman, the members of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee expanded it by adding a new item – Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2026 Budget Law, Section 24 – Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, submitted by the Government.

Representative of the Ministry of Finance Budget Sector Marija Filipovic presented the Bill amending and modifying the Republic of Serbia 2026 Budget Law, Section 24 – Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, submitted by the Government, after which the Committee members adopted it.

The Committee went on to consider the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Activity Information for the period 1 April – 30 June 2026.

The Activity Information for said period was presented by Marko Saranovic, representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management.

The Committee members adopted the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Activity Information for the period 1 April – 30 June 2026.

The Committee also discussed the issue of the drought and waterways.

Due to the drought the Republic of Serbia was experiencing, the Committee members adopted the Proposal to revoke the expense justification of the basic subsidies of 18,000 RSD per hectare.

The Committee also adopted the Proposal to call a public competition for rural infrastructure and have the procurement of documents last 15 days and also have the Operational HQ for the suppression of infectious diseases act in accordance with the Government Conclusion.

Maja Grbic, acting head of the Republic Water Directorate, informed the Committee members about the state of the waterways in Serbia. She stressed that on 21 August at Bezdan, Danube recorded a historic waterway minimum of minus 169 centimetres, and presented the activities and measures undertaken to prevent any consequences.

Following a discussion, the Committee members adopted a conclusion proposal concerning issue of the drought and waterways.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Marijan Risticevic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Miroslav Aleksic, Stanislava Janosevic, Dragan Jovanovic, Dejan Bulatovic, Nikola Pantelic, Veroljub Matic, Milija Miletic, Ivan Karic and Jozsef Tobias.
