In the continuation of the sitting, on 25 October, the Committee adopted the Ministry of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning Activity Information for the period May-July 2013, presented by the Minister of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning, Prof. Dr Milan Bacevic.
In the discussion on the Information, the Committee members asked about the ministries’ interdepartmental cooperation on the protection and improvement of the environment, preparation of the new law on national parks and legalisation of buildings constructed in nature parks under second and third degree protection regime. The Committee also discussed the issuance of permits for geological research and how mineral resource rent tax is established, with a special focus on geological research on the territory of Kucaj Mt. and its protection.
Minister Bacevic informed the Committee members about the on-going preparation of spatial plans for special purpose areas. Regarding normative activities, the Minister said that a bill regulating geological research and mining has been prepared, as has a draft law on the protection and sustainable use of the fish fund.
At the sitting, Milos Djajic of the Centre of Modern Skills and Dragan Simic to the League for Ornithological Action took the role of Green Chair and asked about improving cooperation between the Ministry of Natural Resources, Mining and Spatial Planning and the civil sector.
