2nd session of the Children’s Rights Sub-Committee

The Children’s Rights Sub-Committee held its second session on 28 June. The session was chaired by the chairperson of the Committee, Zivodarka Dacin.


The Children’s Rights Sub-Committee held its second session on 28 June. The session was chaired by the chairperson of the Committee, Zivodarka Dacin.

The session discussed the plan and programme of work of the Sub-Committee.

The chairman of the Children’s Rights Council of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Health, Tomica Milosavljevic, participated in the session of the Sub-Committee. Mr Milosavljevic presented the National Action Plan for Children to Sub-Committee members, calling for them to take part in the implementation of the Action Plan, which was drafted in co-operation with UNICEF.

The session devoted special attention to the need of protecting and enhancing children’s rights, and the initiative to pass a special law on children.
