27h Sitting of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee

At the sitting held on 29 May 2026, the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee considered the Ministry of the Interior Activity Information for the period October - December 2025 and the period January – March 2026, Report on the security situation in the Republic of Serbia for the period July-December 2025, Internal Control Sector 2025 Activity Report, as well as the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Citizen Protection of the Hellenic Republic on the Establishment of Joint Patrols for the Protection of Public Order in the Resorts in the Republic of Serbia and the Hellenic Republic, submitted by the Government.

The Committee members accepted the proposal of Committee Chairman MA Milovan Drecun to complete a joint single debate on all the items on the agenda.

The Ministry of the Interior activity information and reports, as well as the Bill were presented by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic.

Following a lengthy discussion between the Committee members and Minister Dacic and associates, as well as Police Director Dragan Vasiljevic, the Committee accepted the abovementioned documents by majority vote.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Milovan Drecun, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Radoslav Milojicic, Radovan Tvrdisic, Aleksandar Djukic, Dane Stanojevic, Milos Gnjidic, Prof. Dr Jelena Jerinic, Marija Jevdjic, Darko Jovanovic, Tomislav Jankovic, Ugljesa Markovic, Slobodan Ilic, Marinika Tepic, Miroslav Aleksic, Zdravko Ponos, Petar Boskovic and Borislav Novakovic.
