26th session of the Justice and Administration Committee

At its twenty-sixth session, held on 11 February, the Justice and Administration Committee endorsed proposals for the appointment of one deputy prosecutor at the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office and twelve deputy public prosecutors at military divisions of district public prosecutors’ offices.


At its twenty-sixth session, held on 11 February, the Justice and Administration Committee endorsed proposals for the appointment of one deputy prosecutor at the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office and twelve deputy public prosecutors at military divisions of district public prosecutors’ offices.

At the recommendation of the High Judicial Council, the Committee is to advise the National Assembly to endorse proposals for the appointment of one justice of the Supreme Court, 23 judges of district courts and five judges of municipal courts.

When the session resumed (on 16 February), the Justice and Administration Committee endorsed proposals for the appointment of fifteen candidates for Justices of the Supreme Court of Serbia, fourteen candidates for judges of the Belgrade District Court, three candidates for judges of the Nis District Court and one candidate each for judges of the Novi Sad and Smederevo District Courts and the Sopot Municipal Court.

The Committee postponed discussing proposals for the appointment of candidates for judges of Belgrade municipal courts. The High Judicial Council was asked to consider complaints lodged with respect to the procedure for appointment of judges of the courts and forward more detailed information on each candidate to the Committee.
