23rd Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 23 June 2026, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered the following:


  1. Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public Prosecution, submitted by the Government, in detail;
  2. Bill amending the Law on Judges, submitted by the Government, in detail;
  3. Bill amending the Law on the High Prosecutorial Council, submitted by the Government, in detail;
  4. Bill amending the Law on the Seats and Territories of Courts and Public Prosecutor's Offices, submitted by the Government, in detail;
  5. Bill amending the Law on the Organisation and Competence of State Bodies for the Fight against High-Tech Crime, submitted by the Government, in detail;
The sitting was attended by Jovan Cosic, Assistant Minister of Justice.

The submitter of the Bill accepted none of the 23 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public Prosecution. The Committee decided, by majority vote, to propose that the National Assembly reject the submitted amendments.

The submitter of the Bill accepted neither of the two amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Law on Judges. The Committee decided, by majority vote, to propose that the National Assembly reject said amendments.

The submitter of the Bill accepted none of the three amendments submitted to the Bill amending the Law on the High Prosecutorial Council. The Committee decided, by majority vote, to propose that the National Assembly reject the submitted amendments.

The submitter of the Bill accepted none of the four amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending the Law on the Seats and Territories of Courts and Public Prosecutor's Offices. The Committee decided, by majority vote, to propose that the National Assembly reject the submitted amendments.

The submitter of the Bill accepted none of the five amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending the Law on the Organisation and Competence of State Bodies for the Fight against High-Tech Crime. The Committee decided, by majority vote, to propose that the National Assembly reject the submitted amendments.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Ugljesa Mrdic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Jovan Palalic, Jasmina Palurovic, Biljana Ilic Stosic, Lidija Nacic, Natasa Milic Milas, Djordje Komlenski, Boris Bajic, Risto Kostov and Ana Krstic.
