22nd Sitting of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee

At the sitting held on 8 April 2026, the members Defence and Internal Affairs Committee considered the Bill on the Confirmation of the Status of Forces Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus, submitted by the Government.

The Committee also considered, in principle, the Proposal of the Decision amending the Decision on the Engagement of the Serbian Armed Forces and Other Defence Forces in Multinational Operations outside of the Republic of Serbia Borders, submitted by the Government.

The Bill and the Decision Proposal were presented by Acting Assistant Minister of Defence Predrag Bandic who attended the sitting with his associates.

Following a discussion the Committee adopted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Status of Forces Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Cyprus and the Proposal of the Decision amending the Decision on the Engagement of the Serbian Armed Forces and Other Defence Forces in Multinational Operations outside of the Republic of Serbia Borders, in principle, both submitted by the Government.

The Committee decided to propose that the National Assembly accept the Bill, as well as the Decision Proposal, in principle.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Milovan Drecun, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Tomislav Jankovic, Zoran Dragisic, Radovan Tvrdisic, Jasmina Obradovic, Ugljesa Markovic, Dragan Markovic, Bogdan Radovanovic, Marija Jevdjic, Prof. Dr Marko Milenkovic, Prof. Dr Mitar Kovac and Goran Spasojevic.
