Committee Chairperson Nevena Djuric reminded the Committee member that at the 19th sitting the Committee had adopted the Decision to restart the procedure for proposing candidates for members of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media at the proposal of the authorised proposer National Councils of National Minorities, and consequently in 13 November 2025 a Public Call for nominations was issued. The National Councils had a 15-day deadline to submit a rationalised proposal of two candidates each for the regulators’ Council, and received a total of 20 proposals. The National Councils of National Minorities proposed two candidates - Sreten Jovanovic and Istvan Bodzoni.

Following a debate the Committee decided to allow the authorised proposer an additional deadline to organise or expand its proposal, that it so submit proof of compliance. The new deadline is 7 days, that is 12 December 2025.
