2006/2007 Student Intership Programme
The National Assembly Student Internship Programme will give young professionals the chance to work with deputies, Assembly Committee members, and Assembly Support Service staff, as well as to assist in carrying out research and day-to-day activities. This work is a good opportunity to acquire useful experience and knowledge on how the Assembly functions, as well as how democratic institutions develop.
The National Assembly Student Internship Programme will be organised in two cycles. The first four-month cycle is to start on 9 October 2006; the second four-month cycle is to begin on 19 February 2007. A total of 20 students will be selected; 10 will be taken on as interns in each cycle. The students will be engaged for 15 hours per week, either with a Committee, or a Support Service department, according to their individual preferences and available positions.
The right to take part in the Programme is reserved for final-year students, graduates, or post-graduate students from the following academic fields/institutions:
- Faculty of Law;
- Faculty of Political Sciences;
- Faculty of Economics, and
- Faculty of Philology.
The candidates must speak English and be computer literate.
The programme involves volunteer work only.

The deadline for submitting forms is 20 September 2006. Applications posted after this date will not be taken into consideration.-
