19th Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government
At the sitting held on 11 Ma 2026, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered the following in principle: the Bill amending the Law on the Election of the President of the Republic, Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Election of MPs, and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Local Elections, all submitted by MP Miroslav Petrasinovic.
The MPs accepted the proposal of Committee Chairman Dr Ugljesa Mrdic to complete a joint debate in principle on all three items on the agenda. Before the beginning of the debate, Chairman Mrdic thanked all the Committee members who had taken part in the Committee’s four public hearings on the proposed bills and greatly contributed to their drafting.
The bills were presented by the submitter, MP Miroslav Petrasinovic, and after the joint debate, the Committee members accepted them all, in principle, by majority vote.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Ugljesa Mrdic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Jovan Palalic, Natasa Milic Milas, Verica Milanovic, Djordje Komlenski, Ana Krstic, Boris Bajic, Lidija Nacic, Jasmina Palurovic, Aleksandar Ivanovic, Dragan Nikolic, Risto Kostov and Nikola Bokan.
