17th Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee
At the sitting held on 25 November, the Culture and Information Committee reviewed the Republic of Serbia 2014 Budget Bill - section 28, Ministry of Culture and Media.
The Bill was elaborated by Ministry State Secretary Dejan Ristic. He briefed the Committee members on how the budget proposal was drafted, saying it was a development budget. For 2014, the budget allocates 16 billion RSD for culture and the media, however the budget will be additionally amended and as such sent again into assembly procedure, said Dejan Ristic
The Committee members went on to adopt the proposal to set up a Committee Working Group to address the issues of artists’ associations in Serbia. The Working Group will comprise Committee members Srdjan Dragojevic and Vesna Markovic.
The sitting was chaired by Vesna Marjanovic, Committee Chairperson.
