16th Sitting of the Foreign Affairs Committee

At the sitting held on 29 August 2023, the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee considered and granted consent to the Government for the provisional implementation of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, with amednments ascertained by the First, Second and Third protocol amending the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, pending its coming into force.

The Committee went on to adopt initiatives for visits and the standing delegations’ regular activities in the coming period.

The Committee members adopted reports on visits realised and noted realised parliamentary and other contacts.

The Committee then elected MP MA Ninoslav Eric Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Republic of Korea and noted the changes in the composition of the parliamentary friendship groups with Azerbaijan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Australia, Austria, Argentina, the Bahamas, Bahrein, Belgium, Belarus, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Venezuela, Vietnam, Gabonese Republic, Greece, Georgia, Denmark, Egypt, Ecuador, Zimbabwe, Israel, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Armenia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Canada, Qatar, China, Cyprus, DR Congo, DPR Korea, Cuba, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Hungary, Malesia, Malta, Morocco, Mexico, Myanmar, Moldova, Germany, Nepal, Norway, Pakistan, Palestine, Paraguay, Peru, Sub-Saharan Africa, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, the Holy See, North Macedonia, Senegal, Syria, the US, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, the UK, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Honduras, Croatia, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Chile, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Finland and France.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Borko Stefanovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Djordje Komlenski, Jasmina Obradovic, Dr Jelena Kalajdzic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Borisav Kovacevic, Nemanja Joksimovic, Biljana Pantic Pilja, Nikola Bokan, Stefan Jovanovic, Usame Zukorlic, Natasa Jovanovic, Elvira Kovacs, Predrag Marsenic and Ugljesa Markovic.
