Members of the Committee were addressed by representatives of small shareholders and those of the company’s owners, as well as the representatives of the Nezavisnost trade union. The Committee stood by the decision it had made at the previous session, when problems with the privatisation of Jugoremedija were also discussed, to wait for the courts to rule on the matter and for agreement to be reached on starting production.

The Privatisation Committee also considered the request of Miodrag Lupulovic, from Bor, the buyer of Bor-based Centroistok Ltd, to re-examine the purchase contract for the company’s social capital. After discussing the request, Committee members forwarded it to the Ministry of Economy and the Privatisation Agency with the suggestion to initiate monitoring in order to ascertain the situation, while a report should be presented to the Committee at its next session.

After discussing the request of Milan Andrejevic, from Aleksinac, to protect buyer’s rights over Zupski uzor, the Privatisation Committee forwarded the request to the Privatisation Agency, suggesting that it should re-examine its decision on terminating the contract. The Privatisation Agency is to prepare a report on re-examining the possibility of terminating the contract with Kraljevo-based Elektron Joint-Stock Company, due to workers’ requests to re-examine the fulfilment of the buyer’s contractual obligations.
