15th session of the Agriculture Committee
The fifteenth session of the Agriculture Committee was held on 12 October, and was chaired by Zoran Masic, the Committee’s chairman.

Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management presented the results of an analysis of this year’s harvest and buying-up of industrial crops and corn, as well as on the preparations for the autumn sowing.
The Committee asked the Ministry for information on agriculture-related expenses, especially on the assets expended on loans to agricultural producers. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management was also asked to co-ordinate activities with oil refineries to ensure enough fuel for the autumn harvest. The Committee suggested to the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Services to consider the possibility of exchanging mercantile wheat for seed wheat at a 1:1 ratio.
The session also discussed the report of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management on the realisation of its programme of activities regarding the passage of new legislation. The Committee asked the Ministry to submit the Draft Agriculture Development Strategy to the Committee, before submitting it to the Government for approval, to enable the Committee to participate in the public debate.
