14th Sitting of the Security Services Control Committee
At the sitting held on 4 June 2026 and closed to the public, the Security Services Control Committee considered and adopted, by majority vote, the Security Information Agency regular activity reports and reports on the security situation in the Republic of Serbia.
The reports covered all the most significant activities in the reporting period ending on 31 March 2026, which comprehensively reflect the work and enable a complete overview of the realised activities and tasks in the purview of the Security Information Agency.
The members of the service successfully protected the security of the Republic of Serbia by efficiently collecting all security intelligence data and information of importance to the security of the Republic of Serbia, as well as by timely informing the competent state authorities, thereby preventing any attempt to undermine the constitutional order.
The reports were presented by the Director of the Security Information Agency Dr Vladimir Orlic who provided answers concerning the reports during the discussion. In addition to the regular reports he also provided additional clarifications concerning the Information on the events that led to the deprivation of liberty of the then Chief of the Belgrade City Police Department.
The Committee members expressed interest in the information the Security Information Agency has about the activities of foreign services and criminal clans in Montenegro, which are attempting to jeopardize the security of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
The Committee gave full support to the Security Information Agency’s work on protecting the President of the Republic of Serbia, as well as other top state officials and citizens.
Committee Chairman MA Igor Becic stressed that the members of the Security Information Agency, with their work, expertise and dedication, make a significant contribution to the protection of the security interests of the Republic of Serbia and its citizens, and that they have the support of the Committee in this. He noted that it is very important for all the security services of the Republic of Serbia to continue with the good practice of cooperation and joint action, especially now when the whole world is facing various challenges, risks and threats.
