13th session of the Agriculture Committee
Dr Zoran Masic convened the Agriculture Committee’s thirteenth session, held on 18 August.The session agreed that Committee members would take part in the Sixteenth Veterinary Surgeons Conference of the Republic of Serbia, which is to be held in Zlatibor from 8 to 11 September.

The session agreed that Committee members would take part in the Sixteenth Veterinary Surgeons Conference of the Republic of Serbia, which is to be held in Zlatibor from 8 to 11 September. The conference will focus on the Draft Veterinary Medicine Bill.
The Committee discussed requests made by the Arilje-based Serbian Union of Raspberry and Small Fruit Growers’ Associations. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Government of the Republic of Serbia have been asked for a report on the agreement reached between the raspberry growers on the one hand, and the Government and the appropriate Ministries on the other, on the problems which have been encountered in the course of implementing the agreement.
Committee members discussed a petition in relation to problems at the Velika Plana Cattle Breeding and Veterinary Centre for Reproduction and Artificial Insemination. It was concluded that the Committee should suggest to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Government of the Republic of Serbia that they should consider the situation that has been created with the dismissal of the head of the Centre and the appointment of a new one, and take steps to overcome the issues.
