13th Sitting of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija

At the sitting held on 28 February, the members of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija reviewed the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Activity Report for the period January – December 2019, submitted by the Office for Kosovo-Metohija.

Dusan Kozarev, Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo-Metohija, presented the Activity Report to the Committee members, listing its judiciary activities concerning property law issues, providing legal aid to Serbs under prosecution by the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government of Kosovo-Metohija and protecting the property of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

Kozarev said that the Office has continued to supply support to the local self-governments, to help promote the economy and economic development and infrastructure projects in of Kosovo-Metohija. It continued with the realization of the projects of return of the Serb populace to Kosovo-Metohija and financial aid for the returnees and socially disadvantaged populace. Kozarev also spoke about the successful international cooperation the Office has and its cooperation with the international missions.

Speaking of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Kozarev said that there has been no significant progress due to Pristina’s stance and actions, especially after the imposition of the 100% customs tariff on Serbian products.

Following the presentation, the Committee members accepted the Office for Kosovo-Metohija Activity Report for the period January – December 2019.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman MA Milovan Drecun, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dragana Kostic, Miodrag Linta, Jelena Mijatovic, Vladimir Petkovic, Milovan Krivokapic, Sonja Vlahovic, Aleksandar Cotric, Aleksandar Markovic, Zvonimir Stevic, Haji Milorad Stosic and MP Djordje Vukadinovic
