12th session of the Privatisation Committee

The session of the Privatisation Committee held on 7 May saw the unanimous adoption of the Report of the Ministry of Economy on the Activities of the Privatisation Agency for March, along with the Agency’s Programme of Activities for April 2004.Members of the Committee continued discussing problems arising from privatisation and their possible solutions.


The session of the Privatisation Committee held on 7 May saw the unanimous adoption of the Report of the Ministry of Economy on the Activities of the Privatisation Agency for March, along with the Agency’s Programme of Activities for April 2004.

Members of the Committee continued discussing problems arising from privatisation and their possible solutions. Several problems related to control of privatisation were tackled, including review of privatisation procedures, origin of capital, privatisation decentralisation and monopolisation, while possible solutions to these issues were also examined.

The Committee also looked into shareholder problems, such as the protection of small shareholders’ interests, protection of private property and investors, development of shareholding and share takeovers.
