12th Sitting of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee


At the sitting held on 5 September 2023, the members of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee considered the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Road Traffic Safety, in principle, Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia, of the one part, and the European Union, of the other part, on the participation of the Republic of Serbia in the Union’s Civil Protection Mechanism and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of Italy on Reciprocal Recognition and Exchange of Driving Licences, all submitted by the Government.

The Committee members accepted the proposal of Committee Deputy Chairman Aleksandar Markovic to complete a joint debate on all the items on the agenda and that the discussion time be shortened by 5 minutes, pursuant to article 78 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.

The bills were presented by State Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior Dr Zeljko Brkic as representative of the submitter.

Following a debate the Committee members accepted the bills by majority vote.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Deputy Chairman Aleksandar Markovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Tomislav Jankovic, Miroslav Aleksic, Borko Puskic, Haji Milorad Stosic, Dijana Radovic, Jasmina Obradovic, Biljana Pantic Pilja, Igor Braunovic, MA Igor Becic, Strahinja Erac, Marija Jevdjic, Nikola Dragicevic and Prof.Dr Zoran Dragisic, as well as Miodrag Gavrilovic, Marina Lipovac Tanaskovic, Prof.Dr Branimir Jovancicevic, Nebojsa Cakic, Srdjan Milivojevic, Djordje Stankovic, Danijela Nestorovic, Ivana Parlic, Tatjana Manojlovic, Borislav Novakovic, Prof.Dr Jelena Jerinic and Aleksandar Jovanovic, who are not members of the Committee.
