11th Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee

At the sitting held on 24 October 2023, the members of the Culture and Information Committee considered in detail the Bill amending the Law on Temporary Regulation of Payment of Fees for the Public Service Media, submitted by the Government.

The Government and the Committee accepted none of the four amendments submitted to the Bill and proposed that the National Assembly reject them all.

The Committee also considered in detail the Bill amending the Law on Public Service Media, submitted by the Government. The Committee accepted none of the five amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill and proposed that the National Assembly reject them all.

The Committee proceeded to considered in detail the Bill on Electronic Media, submitted by the Government. The Government and the Committee accepted two of the 130 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill and proposed that the National Assembly accept them. The Culture and Information Committee also submitted an amendment of its own to the Bill, which the Government granted consent to.

Finally, the Committee considered in detail the Bill on Public Information in the Media, submitted by the Government. Of the 237 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill, the Government and the Committee accepted two submitted by MP Nebojsa Bakarec and proposed that the National Assembly accept them.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Deputy Chairman Nebojsa Bakarec and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Stasa Stojanovic, Branislav Josifovic, Natasa Tasic Knezevic, Prof. Dr Tamara Milenkovic Kerkovic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Jasmin Hodzic, Dr Danijela Grujic, Natasa Jovanovic, Lepomir Ivkovic, Prim. Dr Nada Macura, Enis Durgutovic, Branko Vukajlovic and MPs Ivana Paralic and Branimir Jovanovic who are not members of the Committee.
