11th Sitting of the Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region

At the sitting held on 17 May 2018, the members of the Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region spoke about the upcoming election in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the status of Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Committee Deputy Chairman Miodrag Linta said that the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina had on 8 May 2018 called a general election for 7 October which could be greatly important for Serbs living in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in view of their difficult position fraught with discrimination. In the continuation, having amended the agenda, the Committee members dismissed Committee Chairman MA Ivan Kostic and Deputy Chairman Miodrag Linta by majority vote.

By majority vote, the Committee members then elected Miodrag Linta new Committee Chairman and Mirjana Dragas Committee Deputy Chairperson.
