10th Sitting of the Health and Family Committee
At the sitting held on 13 February, the members of the Health and Family Committee decided to organise a public hearing on the Strategic directions in the fight against drugs as one of the greatest evils of modern times.
The public hearing will be held on 1 March 2013 at the National Assembly, with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
At the sitting, the Committee discussed the 31 petitions sent by citizens and organisations to the Committee in the previous period. The rapporteur of the Working Group charged with considering the petitions, proposals and initiatives submitted by citizens and organisations, Nebojsa Zelenovic, shared the Working Group’s suggestions on how to address the petitions. Following a discussion, the Committee members agreed on how to further process each of the cases.
Representatives of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic Health Insurance Fund took part in the proceedings.
This was also the first electronic Committee sitting and was chaired by Prof. Dr Dusan Milisavljevic, Committee Chairman.
