PFG with Cuba at International Seminar "Parliamentary Diplomacy"

A delegation of the National Assembly’s Parliamentary Friendship Group with Cuba is participating in the international seminar "Parliamentary Diplomacy” held this year on 18 and 19 September in Havana, organised by the Institute of International Relations and the National Assembly of Cuba. The delegation is headed by Bojan Torbica, who also heads the PFG with Cuba, and comprises PFG members Sanja Jefic Brankovic, Tijana Davidovac and Ugljesa Mrdic.

On the first day of the Conference after the ceremonial opening, the Head of the delegation, Bojan Torbica, addressed the participants with a welcome speech, reminding them of the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in contemporary international relations, especially in the context of current conflicts throughout the international community. He urged the participants to contribute to the preservation of peace and security, as well as the protection of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of all the member states of the United Nations.

Also, in the course of the speech, he appealed to the international community to make additional efforts to end the persecution of Serbs from the territory of Kosovo-Metohija.
