National Assembly Deputy Speaker Jovan Janjic emphasised the importance of nurturing music, culture and tradition, saying: "You are here, dear children, to express your noble feelings with grateful voices, to contribute to the voice of harmony in this world, so that the voices of hatred and chaos in this world full of evil, do not prevail. Serbian ethics and the national pledge, shaped in Kosovo-Metohija, are both our moral and spiritual inspiration in our entire creation, including in our singing, in our musical tradition."

Minister of Education Dejan Vuk Stankovic said that education is key to preserving the identity and supporting the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija.
