9th Session of the Constitutional Commission`s Territorial Organization Sub-Committee Held

The Constitutional Commission's Territorial Organization Sub-Committee held the ninth session on September 4 at 13.00 h.


The Constitutional Commission's Territorial Organization Sub-Committee held the ninth session on September 4 at 13.00 h. Mr. Nenad Canak presided over this session.

The Sub-Committee members discussed provisions on the Republic of Serbia territorial organization defining position, competencies, property and the way of formation of new provinces on the territory of the Republic.

The Sub-Committee is going to suggest the Constitutional Commission to include in the future Constitution the provision regulating representation of autonomous provinces in the Republic's Parliament through the separate parliamentary house.

On the second day of session (September 8) this Sub-Comission worked on reconciliation of provisions defining the position, competences and rights of both the capital City of Belgrade and the local self-administration units.
