Fifth Sitting of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality

At the sitting held on 4 September 2023, the members of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality considered the Bill on the Confirmation of the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (OP-ICESCR), submitted by the Government.

The Bill was presented by Minister of Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality Tomislav Zigmanov.

Following a discussion, the Committee members accepted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights by majority vote.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Deputy Chairperson Natasa Knezevic Tasic, and was attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dijana Radovic, Sandra Jokovic, Marija Jovanovic, Miloratka Bojovic, Prof. Dr Zoran Radojcic, Prim. Dr Nada Macura, Andrijana Vasic, Vesna Nedovic, Dr Danijela Grujic, Branimir Jovanovic and Srdjan Milivojevic.

The Committee sitting was also attended by MP Radmila Vasic.
