The members of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy began their sitting held on 24 November 2024, by a minute’s silence to pay respect to the victims of the canopy collapse in Novi Sad and the late MP Dragan Markovic Palma.
By majority vote, the Committee accepted the proposal of Committee Chairperson Snezana Paunovic to complete a joint debate on items 2 to 7 on the agenda.
The Committee considered, in principle, the Republic of Serbia 2025 Budget Bill, Section 28 – Ministry of Mining and Energy, Section 32 – Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade and Section 37 – Ministry of Tourism and Youth, presented by representatives of the submitter, Ana Vasovic of the Ministry of Finance Budget Sector, and representatives of the line ministries.
Following a discussion, the Committee members adopted, by majority vote, the Republic of Serbia 2025 Budget Bill, Section 28 – Ministry of Mining and Energy, Section 32 – Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade and Section 37 – Ministry of Tourism and Youth.
The Committee proceeded to consider, in principle, the Bill amending and modifying the Energy Law and the Proposal of the Republic of Serbia Energy Development Strategy up to 2040 with projections to 2050, as well as the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the United States of America on Strategic Cooperation in the Field of Energy in the Republic of Serbia, and in principle, the Bill on Export and Import of Dual-Use Goods and the Bill on Services, as well as the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Republic of the Maldives on Trade, Investment and Economic Cooperation.
The energy bills were presented by Advisor to the Minister of Mining and Energy Rade Mrdak, and the bills concerning domestic and foreign trade by Assistant Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Zarko Miladinovic and Ministry representative Jasmina Roskic.
Following a discussion, the Committee accepted, by majority vote, all the bills listed as items 2 to 7 on the agenda.
