National Assembly Speaker and President of the Socialist Party of Serbia Ivica Dacic Sends Telegram of Condolences on Death of Dragan Tomic

National Assembly Speaker and President of the Socialist Party of Serbia Ivica Dacic sent a telegram of condolences on the death of Dragan Tomic.

"I was deeply moved by the news that Dragan Tomic, one of the founders of the Socialist Party of Serbia and former Speaker of the National Assembly, my friend, one of the people who left a big mark on the economic and political life of today's Serbia, had left us. With his tireless efforts, knowledge and perseverance, he climbed all the steps as an economic expert and at the same time as a dedicated public worker - from an engineer in “Rekord Rakovica" and a municipal delegate, to the general director of "Jugopetrol" and Speaker of the National Assembly. Dragan Tomic was a man who knew better than many Serbia and our people with whom he had spent his entire century, he loved his country above all and gave it all of his knowledge and labours. He was a men who taught us and from whom we learned that the people and Serbia are above all, whom we trusted because he constantly led by example. I would like to thank Dragan Tomic for everything he did for his Serbia, for our Socialist Party of Serbia. We will remember him for the wisdom and energy he was able to convey to all of us who wanted to learn from him. I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Dragan Tomic."
