National Assembly Speaker and Andorran Minister of Foreign Affairs on Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation and European Integration

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, met today in the Principality of Andorra with the Minister of Foreign Affairs the Principality of Andorra Imma Tor Faus and spoke about advancing bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The officials spoke about furthering political dialogue, as well as cooperation in the fields of tourism, education and sustainable development, with a special focus on European integration and Andorra’s rapprochement to the European Union, which is one of the country’s top foreign policy priorities.

The National Assembly Speaker stressed that the Republic of Serbia remains firmly committed to the European path, emphasising that dialogue, mutual respect and multilateral cooperation are of key importance in these times of increasing global challenges.

The officials deemed that there is ample room to advance relations between Serbia and Andorra, and the National Assembly Speaker expressed her firm belief that this visit would contribute to opening a new chapter in the relations between the two states and intensification of relations in the areas of common interest.

An expectation was expressed that representatives of the Principality of Andorra would visit the Republic of Serbia in the upcoming period, so as to continue the dialogue and further strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries.
