National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic Holds Series of Bilateral Meetings on Sidelines of Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians
On the sidelines of the Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union today, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, held a series of bilateral meetings with senior officials from several countries.
The National Assembly Speaker met with the President of the Senate of Zimbabwe, Mabel Memory Chinomona, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Mamonaheng Mokitimi Mosene, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Tullia Ackson, Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament, Agnes Váradi Forsthoffer, Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, as well as the head of the Uzbek Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva.
During the talks, the officials confirmed a shared commitment to strengthening parliamentary cooperation, improving political dialogue, and exchanging experiences in areas of common interest.
After a meeting with the Uzbek delegation, National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic, and the Chair of the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, signed a Cooperation Agreement, further strengthening relations between the two parliaments.
Speaker Brnabic emphasised that the bilateral meetings were a good opportunity to exchange views on current international topics, as well as to further deepen cooperation and friendly relations between parliaments and states.
