Defence and Internal Affairs Committee and Security Services Control Committee with National Defence School 11th Class Attendees

The Chairman of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee Aleksandar Markovic and the Chairman of the Security Services Control Committee MA Igor Becic presented the work of their respective committees to the attendees of the 11th Class of the National Defence School “Vojvoda Radomir Putnik” Advanced Security and Defence Studies.

MA Igor Becic and Aleksandar Markovic, who is also a student of the National Defence School “Vojvoda Radomir Putnik” Advanced Security and Defence Studies, explained the scope of work of the line committees, citing the close cooperation between them.

The two chairmen explained their committees’ role and MOD, starting from how they are set up to the supervisory role the committees have. For the purpose of the study visit and to better explain the role of the National Assembly and its committees, Aleksandar Markovic and MA Igor Becic introduced the students of the Advanced Security and Defence Studies 11th Class to the organisation and activities of the supreme legislative institution’s working bodies.

Following question time, the 20 students of the 11th Class of the National Defence School “Vojvoda Radomir Putnik” Advanced Security and Defence Studies had the opportunity to tour the building of the National Assembly House.

Advanced Security and Defence Studies are an organisational unit in the National Defence School and are realised once a year as the highest level of training for officers and civil servants, with the aim of educating and preparing students to take high positions in the national security system.

At the beginning of the meeting, National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic addressed the Advanced Security and Defence Studies class.
