50th Sitting of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications

At the sitting held on 2 October, the members of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications considered the grounds for the conduct and signing of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Government of Montenegro and Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning the transfer of authority for the provision of air transport services and the text of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Government of Montenegro and Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning the transfer of authority for the provision of air transport services for the purpose of granting consent for its temporary implementation until coming into force.

The Agreement was presented by a representative of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure who said that Bosnia and Herzegovina provider BHANSA is planned to take over air transport services in most of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 5 December 2019, while SMATSA is to retain authority over the part of airspace above Bosnia and Herzegovina next to the border with the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee members unanimously adopted the Decision to grant consent for the temporary implementation of the grounds for the for the conduct and signing of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Government of Montenegro and Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning the transfer of authority for the provision of air transport services and the text of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Government of Montenegro and Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning the transfer of authority for the provision of air transport services until its coming into force.

The Decision is to be forwarded to the Government of the Republic of Serbia for further handling and the National Assembly Speaker for informative purposes.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Katarina Rakic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dalibor Radicevic, Jasmina Karanac, Ognjen Pantovic, Olivera Pesic, Vladimir Petkovic, Jovica Jevtic, Dr Danijela Stojadinovic and Snezana B. Petrovic.
