49th Sitting of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending
At the sitting held on 22 May 2026, the members of the Committee on Finance, State Budget and Control of Public Spending considered the Report of the Working group tasked with ascertaining the compliance with requirements in the procedure of nomination of candidates for office in autonomous and independent state bodies and organisations elected by the National Assembly at public calls.
The Report was submitted by the Head of the Working group Jasmina Palurovic who informed the Committee members that for the election of one member of the Republic Commission for Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures, the Working Group had received four timely and full applications, accompanied by all required documentation, by candidates Marija Velickovic, Mersiha Markovic, Jasmina Milenkovic and Aleksandra Popovic. The Committee members unanimously accepted the Report of the Working group.
The Committee proceeded to interview candidates for the election of a member of the Republic Commission for Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures Marija Velickovic, Jasmina Milenkovic and Aleksandra Popovic, while candidate Mersiha Markovic did not respond to the invitation to the interview.
Following the interviews the Committee determined the Proposal of the Decision on the election of a member of the Republic Commission for Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures, by majority vote, proposing that the National Assembly elects Aleksandra Popovic member of the Republic Commission for Protection of Rights in Public Procurement Procedures.
The Committee decided to propose that the National Assembly review the Decision Proposal under urgent procedure, pursuant to Article 167 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Veroljub Arsic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: MA Svetlana Milijic, Tijana Davidovac, Ilo Mihajlovski, Ana Beloica Martac, Stefan Kitanovic, Nikola Radosavljevic, Jozsef Tobias, Jasmina Palurovic, Ugljesa Markovic and Vojislav Vujic.
