41st Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society

At the sitting held on 6 November, the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society passed the motion to organize a public hearing on “Education in national minority languages”.

Committee Chairman Dr Muamer Zukorlic reminded the Committee members that the proposal to organize a hearing on this topic was originally submitted by MP Olena Papuga in 2017 which was renewed over the summer and now requires that a formal decision be passed on it.

The Committee decided to hold the public hearing on 22 November 2019 at the Small Hall of the national Assembly House, starting at 2 pm. Besides the MPs, the Committee will be inviting representatives of national minority councils, the ministry in charge of education, heads of school districts, especially those with most national minorities, and representatives of the National Education Council and Textbook Institute.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Muamer Zukorlic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Doc. Dr Mihailo Jokic, Ljupka Mihajlovska, Milena Bicanin, Prof. Dr Zoran Dragisic, Prof. Dr Milan Knezevic, Miletic Mihajlovic, Fatmir Hasani, Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, Djordje Kosanic and Nikola Savic.
