The Report was presented by representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, State Secretary Aleksandra Damjanovic and assistant ministers Milana Rakic and Aleksandar Simic, who briefed the Committee members on the Ministry’s legislative, normative and project activity in the spheres of water, railway, road and air transport.

The Ministry representatives said that all the by-laws required by the Law on Planning and Construction have been adopted and are in force. They added that the draft laws on conversion with compensation and the registry of lessees and tenants of apartments owned by private persons are currently subject to public debate, as is the draft law amending the Law on State Survey and Cadastre.

In the ensuing debate, the MPs commended the exhaustive Report of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure and shared their suggestions concerning it.

The Committee members asked about the delay in the construction of certain sections of state roads, the reform of “Roads of Serbia” public enterprise and the results the implementation of the Law on Planning and Construction has yielded so far.

After the debate, the Committee unanimously decided to accept the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Activity Report for the period February - April 2015.

The Committee members then reviewed the civic petitions the Committee had received and, at the proposal of the Working Group in charge, decided how to process them further.
