23rd Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society
At the sitting held on 8 May 2026, the members of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and Information Society were preseneted the Draft Version of the Proposal of the Sport Development Strategy 2026 – 2035.
Minister of Sport Zoran Gajic and the Ministry’s State Secretary Marko Keselj informed the Committee members in detail about the draft version of the strategy proposal.
The Minister said that all the actors of the sports system in the Republic of Serbia had already had their say on the strategy proposal through public debate that included more than 200 sports organisations and local self-government units. He reminded the gathered that one of the obligations proscribed by the Law on Sports is to pass a national sports development strategy covering a 10 year period.
The detailed presentation was followed by a discussion.
The Committee members went on to consider and adopt the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on Access to Higher Education and Admission to Higher Studies in the Western Balkans, submitted by the Government and presented by Assistant Minister of Education Prof. Dr Janko Samardzic.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Biljana Ilic-Stosic, Goran Spasojevic, Zeljko Rebraca, Nikola Pantelic, Zivota Starcevic, Stojan Radenovic, Zdravko Mladenovic, Ana Miljanic, Sladjana Susnjar and Nikola Lazic.
