17th Sitting of the of the Committee on Labour, Social Issues, Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction
At the sitting held on 6 July 2026, the Committee on Labour, Social Issues, Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction considered, in principle, the Bill on Parents-Caregivers and Caregivers, submitted by the Government, submitted by the Government.
The Bill was presented, on behalf of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, by special advisor Miroslav Vasic. He informed the attending that the Bill on Parents-Caregivers and Caregivers for the first time arranges the legal status of persons who provide 24 hour care to children with severe mental disorders and adults who need aid od the same kind.
Following a debate, the Committee adopted the Bill on Parents-Caregivers and Caregivers, submitted by the Government, in principle.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Haji Milorad Stosic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nevena Veinovic, Tatjana Nikolic, Sanja Milosevic, Vesna Stankovic, Sonja Ilic, Biljana Jakovljevic, Dragana Radinovic and Marko Milosevic.
