16th Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society

At the sitting held on 23 December 2021, the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society considered the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Foundations of the Education System, submitted by the Government. The Government and the Committee rejected the amendment submitted to it.

The Committee went on to submit an amendment of its own to Article 50 of the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Secondary Education. Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Branko Ruzic, who attended the sitting, accepted the proposed amendment on behalf of the submitter of the Bill.

The Committee also submitted an amendment to Article 28 of the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Foundations of the Education System, which the competent Minister accepted on behalf of the submitter of the Bill.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Deputy Chairman Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Vesna Stjepanovic, Zivota Starcevic, Samira Cosovic, Milijana Sakic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Jelena Obradovic, Marina Ragus, Natasa Jovanovic, Doc. Dr Mihailo Jokic, Bratislav Jugovic, Prof. Dr Ljubisa Stojimirovic and Nevena Djuric.
