Delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of Black Sea Economic Cooperation

The Assembly assists with economic, trade, political, and social cooperation among the countries through the adoption of acts that provide legal grounds for cooperation at the Ministerial level. Its goal is to protect parliamentary democracy; it cooperates with the bodies of Central European Services as well as with regional bodies.
Plenary sessions are convened twice a year in the country of the Chairperson. Between plenary sessions, meetings of working bodies are organized in member states.
Our country has been a full member since 2004.

  • National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Igor Becic participated in the Forty-Sixth Meeting of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee held in Istanbul on 11 May 2016.

  • The standing delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC) took part in the organisation’s 46th Plenary Session, in Bucharest, 25-27 November. Katarina Rakic, member of the National Assembly’s standing delegation, was elected rapporteur of the Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee. In the course of the proceedings, the PABSEC also accepted the 2016 Action Plan, according to which the National Assembly is to host the 48th PABSEC General Assembly in Belgrade, 29 November – 1 December 2016, as part of its presidency of the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and the BSEC Parliamentary Assembly. The delegation was headed by MA Igor Becic, and comprised MPs Katarina Rakic and Miletic Mihajlovic.

  • Zoltan Pek, member of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to PABSEC, took part in the joint meeting of the BSEC Committee of Senior Officials and the PABSEC Standing Committee and the second meeting of the Working Group on the PABSEC Rules of Procedure, in Istanbul, Turkey, on 5 November 2015.

  • At the invitation of the Speaker of the Parliament of Azerbaijan and the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation MA Igor Becic took part in the election observation mission in Azerbaijan, on 1 November 2015.

  • Zoltan Pek, member of the National Assembly’s standing delegation, took part in the 45th meeting of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee in Tirana, 19-20 October 2015.

  • The National Assembly’s standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation took part in the 46th meeting of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee and Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee in Varna, on 5 and 6 October 2015. MP Katarina Rakic was elected rapporteur for the next meeting of the Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee in March 2016 in Yerevan. The National Assembly delegation was headed by National Assembly Deputy Speaker and Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation MA Igor Becic, and comprised MP Katarina Rakic, member of the delegation.

  • At the 45th spring session of the PABSEC General Assembly in Chisinau, Moldova, 8-10 June 2015, National Assembly Deputy Speaker Igor Becic, Head of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation PABSEC, was elected one of the organisation’s vice-presidents. The National Assembly delegation also comprised Zoltan Pek, Miletic Mihajlovic and Bojan Kostres.

  • Member of the National Assembly delegation to PABSEC and member of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee Zoltan Pek took part in the 44th Committee meeting in Ordu, Turkey, 1-2 April 2015. The topic of the meeting was: “The Role of Sport in Promoting Growth, Employment and Social Cohesion in the BSEC Region” and the Rapporteur was Zoltan Pek.

  • The National Assembly hosted the 44th meeting of the PABSEC Economic, Commercial, Technological and Environmental Affairs Committee on 16 March 2015. On the occasion, National Assembly Deputy Speaker and member of the National Assembly standing delegation to PABSEC Veroljub Arsic was elected Committee Vice-Chairman.

  • The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and Head of the National Assembly standing delegation to PABSEC, Igor Becic, attended the meeting of the Working Group on the PABSEC Rules of Procedure, in Istanbul, Turkey, 1-3 March 2015.

  • The National Assembly’s standing delegation to PABSEC took part in the 44th PABSEC Plenary Session, 8 – 10 December 2014, in Athens. The delegation comprised Head of the delegation MA Igor Becic and delegation members Veroljub Arsic, Katarina Rakic and Zoltan Pek.

  • Member of the National Assembly standing delegation to PABSEC Zoltan Pek took part in the organisation’s spring session, from 12 to 14 May 2014, in Athens, Greece.
