Sixth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015

At the request of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic convened the Sixth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015, for Tuesday, 10 February, starting at 10 am.


The heads i.e. authorised representatives of the parliamentary groups, MPs Dragan Jovanovic, Dr Muamer Bacevac, Zika Gojkovic, Dr Janko Veselinovic, Shaip Kamberi, Sinisa Maksimovic, Ivan Jovanovic and Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, requested information and explanations in line with article 287 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.

The request to hold the Sixth Extraordinary Session set the following agenda:

1. Bill amending and modifying the Law on Maritime Navigation, submitted by the Government,
2. Bill amending and modifying the Law on Navigation and Ports on Inland Waterways, submitted by the Government,
3. Bill amending and modifying the Law on Nationality and Registration of Vessels, submitted by the Government.

The National Assembly accepted the proposal of MP Vladimir Orlic to complete a joint debate in principle on all the items on the agenda.

On the first day of the proceedings, the National Assembly commenced and concluded the joint debate in principle on the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Maritime Navigation, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Navigation and Ports on Inland Waterways and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Nationality and Registration of Vessels, submitted by the Government.

On the second day of the proceedings, 12 February, the Chair, National Assembly Deputy Speaker MA Igor Becic asked the MPs to observe a minute of silence to pay respects to the Serbian construction workers, the tragic victims of the fire on the Yamal peninsula in Siberia.

Before moving onto the agenda, the heads i.e. authorised representatives of the parliamentary groups, MPs Enis Imamovic, Ljiljana Kosoric, Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic, MA Aleksandra Jerkov, Dr Blagoje Bradic and Zoran Babic, requested information and explanations in line with article 287 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure.

The National Assembly then commenced and, by the end of the proceedings, concluded the debate in detail on the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Maritime Navigation, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Navigation and Ports on Inland Waterways and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Nationality and Registration of Vessels, submitted by the Government.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on all the items on the agenda, the Chair, National Assembly Deputy Speaker MA Igor Becic set Thursday, 12 February, as Voting Day on all the items on the agenda for the Sixth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015, starting at noon.

Voting Day

On Voting Day, 12 February, by majority vote, the National Assembly passed the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Maritime Navigation, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Navigation and Ports on Inland Waterways and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Nationality and Registration of Vessels.

As the National Assembly had completed the debate on all the items on the agenda and ruled on them, the Chair, National Assembly Deputy Speaker MA Igor Becic concluded the Sixth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015.
