Press Statement of National Assembly Deputy Secretary General Branko Marinkovic Regarding MP Balsa Bozovic’s Incorrect Interpretation of NARS Deputy Secretary General’s Words

“I strongly denounce the allegations of MP Balsa Bozovic that I had said that the Secretary General did not allow the representatives of the Ministry of the Interior to enter the National Assembly building and I denounce the lie I had been ascribed.

MPs Balsa Bozovic and Aleksandra Jerkov stopped me at the office door asking me to answer their questions whether the Secretary General allowed the representatives of the Ministry of the Interior to enter the Parliament building. I responded that I had no information on it.

The assent for the representatives of the Ministry of the Interior to enter the building of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia was given by the National Assembly Secretary General in line with Article 71, paragraph 2 of the Law on the National Assembly, not me as the Deputy.”
