Ninth Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society

At the sitting held on 21 March 2023, the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society considered the Bill on the Confirmation of the Western Balkans Agreement on the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications of Doctors of Medicine, Doctors of Dental Medicine and Architects in the Central European Free Trade Agreement Context, with Annex I, Annex II and Annex III, submitted by the Government.

The bills were presented by representatives of the Ministry of Education State Secretary Marijana Dukic Mijatovic, Assistant Minister for International Cooperation and European Integration Dr Aleksandar Jovic and Assistant Minister for Higher Education Dr Bojan Tubic.

Following a debate, the Committee members decided to propose that the National Assembly accept the Bill on the Confirmation of the Western Balkans Agreement on the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications of Doctors of Medicine, Doctors of Dental Medicine and Architects in the Central European Free Trade Agreement Context, with Annex I, Annex II and Annex III.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Prof. Dr Marko Atlagic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dr Zivan Bajic, Prof. Dr Vladimir Obradovic, Prof. Dr Mirka Lukic-Sarkanovic, Dejana Vasic, Dragana Miljanic, Dr Zika Bujuklic, Prof. Dr Branimir Jovancicevic, Tatjana Medved, Dr Zoran Lutovac, Natasa Ivanovic, Ljubinko Đurkovic, Prof. Dr Djordje Pavicevic, Stojan Radenovic, Djordje Kosanic and Ratko Nikolic.
