The Head of the PFG with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vladimir Djukanovic opined that the cooperation between Serbia and BiH is very important for both states. He pointed out the significance of deepening interparliamentary cooperation between Serbia and BiH, as well as regional, economic and all other types of cooperation. Djukanovic stressed that Serbia wishes to improve its special cooperation with the Republic of Srpska and achieve the best possible cooperation with the Council of Ministers in Sarajevo. Djukanovic also added that Serbia is committed to maintaining peace and stability in the region and abiding by the Dayton Accords.
The BiH Ambassador said that Serbia and BiH share traditional, solid ties which still need to be strengthened so as to preserve the two states’ heritage. He opined that the cooperation between the two countries’ highest institutions is good, but the existing culturological and historic relations should be joined by better cooperation in all areas. The Ambassador also thanked Serbia for its assistance to the Republic of Srpska during the floods.
In the course of the meeting the officials also discussed improving cooperation in the spheres of culture, sport, education and healthcare.
