The Chairperson of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy, Dr Aleksandra Tomic welcomed the members of the Lao PDR parliamentary delegation highlighting the importance of promoting interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries, especially between their respective parliamentary committees and by setting up parliamentary friendship groups.
Dr Souvanpheng Boupphanouvong said that the aim of their economic development is to boost the economy by using natural resources yet conserving the environment. She asked about Serbia’s experience in the field, as well as experience in the development of agriculture, energy and infrastructure.
In the course of the meeting, the members of the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy and the Lao PDR parliamentary delegation discussed the two countries’ cooperation in the spheres of economy, energy, spatial planning and infrastructure.
In addition to the Committee Chairperson, the meeting was also attended by Committee members Petar Skundric, Kenan Hajdarevic and Ivana Dinic.
