Jadranka Joksimovic Takes Part in Meeting of Chairpersons of South-East European Parliamentary Committees in Charge of Supervising Military Intelligence Services
The Chairperson of the Security Services Control Committee, Jadranka Joksimovic took part in the first, informal meeting of the chairpersons of parliamentary committees of South-East European countries in charge of supervising military intelligence services.
Jadranka Joksimovic took active part in the Conference and presented the activities of the National Assembly’s Security Services Control Committee, briefing the participants on the important results in the sphere of direct parliamentary oversight over the security services the Committee had achieved in only a year since it was set up.
Jadranka Joksimovic also endorsed the initiative of the Regional Cooperation Council to have this type of cooperation become a formal forum of the chairpersons of parliamentary committees of South-East European countries in charge of supervising military intelligence services which would enable the parliamentarians to efficiently exchange experiences and learn about the best practices in the sphere of civil and democratic oversight over security services.
